Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GoDigitalVantage ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and review-management service (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers two groups: our customers (the businesses that use GoDigitalVantage) and their customers (people who leave feedback or reviews through the Service). Where a business uses our tools to collect feedback, that business is the data controller for its own customers' information, and we act as a processor on their behalf.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information — your name and email address, obtained through Google sign-in when you create an account.
  • Business information — business name, locations, and your connected Google Business Profile.
  • Billing information — handled by our payment processor (Stripe); we do not store your full card details.
  • Contacts you upload — customer names, phone numbers, or emails you import to send review requests.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — how you interact with the Service, to improve it and enforce plan limits.
  • Device and log data — IP address, browser type, and timestamps, for security and diagnostics.

Feedback and reviews

When a customer rates an experience through the Service, we process that rating and any written feedback so we can route it to the business and, where applicable, help the customer leave a public review. Customers are always free to leave a public review on Google regardless of their rating.

3. How we use information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • To send review requests on behalf of our customers (by SMS, WhatsApp, or email) to the contacts they provide.
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • To generate AI-assisted review replies and analytics.
  • To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with the law.
  • To communicate with you about your account and important updates.

4. SMS, messaging, and consent

Our customers are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact the people they import (for example, an existing customer relationship and applicable consent). The Service supports opt-out: replying STOP to a message unsubscribes that recipient, and we honour these requests. We comply with applicable messaging regulations, including TCPA requirements in the United States.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Service providers who help us run the Service — for example Google (sign-in and Business Profile), Stripe (payments), and messaging/email providers — under agreements that limit their use of the data.
  • Legal authorities where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
  • A successor in the event of a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information ("right to be forgotten").
  • Export your information in a portable format.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

8. Security

We protect your data with industry-standard measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, tenant isolation so businesses can only see their own data, and secure handling of authentication tokens. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information and to respond quickly if an issue arises.

9. Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.

10. Children

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection consistent with this policy and applicable law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the "last updated" date, and we'll notify you of material changes where required.
